Pink Play-Doh

Pink Play-Doh

Sometimes I feel like pink Play-Doh
Formulated into a brick
By a Play-Doh Brick Maker
And dropped on a wood dining table
And smashed with the giant, authoritative palm
Of an enthusiastic three year old,
That such a nice perfect thing
Can be transformed
Into a flat, smashed slab of nothing
With one
Enthusiastic and powerful

S M A C K!

I don’t like being Play-Doh,
I’d rather be titanium
Or some yet to be discovered hard nano substance
That the child places
Into their pink Play-Doh Brick Maker,
In hopes of forming yet another inconsequential brick,
But instead,
Fractures the brick making machine
For good.
